Due to an internal promotion within our QA team we are now looking for a talented QA Technician to join our QA team at our Kaiapoi Plant.

As our QA Technician we would require you to provide trusted guidance and support to the Kaiapoi site team on food safety, reglatory, compliance and quality systems and issues.

While reporting to our QA Manager, this role will have significant interaction with the Kaiapoi site team and other national functions such as NPD and Purchasing.

To be successful in this role, you will be computer literate with advanced excel and word skills and the ability to input and analyse data. You will be a champion communicator by having the ability to communicate in a constructive and influential manner, both written and verbal.

In addition to this, you will be required to:

• Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a quality role within the food industy
• A tertiary qualification in a relevant field would be highly regarded
• Strong practical knowledge of the food industry, food safety, microbiology, food technology and quality management systems
• Previous experience in both internal and external auditing including regulatory and customer standards would be highly regarded
• Strong practical knowledge in internal and external auditing, analysis and report writing including in-depth risk assessments with an ability to present in a logical and technically robust manner
• Ability to coach and mentor others in the business as required
• High degree of initiative is required in problem solving, interpretation of results and the sourcing and interpretation of solutions
• Attention to detail and a structured and disciplined approach
• Resilient, pro-active and ambitious demonstrating drive, energy and focus
• The ability to remain composed under pressure
• Be willing to learn other QA related tasks as directed by the QA Manager
